The White Wolf is a free, unofficial fan-made companion app for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, not affiliated with or endorsed by CD PROJEKT RED. This page explains what happens to your information when you use the app or website.
Information we don't collect
The White Wolf has no accounts, no sign-in, and no forms. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any other personal information, and we don't use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs of any kind.
Data stored on your device
Preferences and progress — such as your language, UI settings, and which contracts or codex entries you've marked as completed — are saved locally on your device using your browser's storage (localStorage). This data never leaves your device and is never sent to us. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data or uninstalling the app.
Hosting & technical logs
The app is served over standard web infrastructure (Cloudflare). Like any website, the hosting provider processes routine technical information from your requests — such as IP address and user agent — solely to deliver content and maintain security. We do not access or use these logs for tracking or advertising.
Third-party content
The Contracts section displays video walkthrough thumbnails hosted on YouTube (Google) and links to the full videos on youtube.com. The home page shows a thumbnail of the official announcement trailer and loads the YouTube player (youtube-nocookie.com) only when you press play. Loading a thumbnail or a video is a direct request to Google's servers and is subject toGoogle's Privacy Policy. We don't share any data with Google ourselves.
Children's privacy
The White Wolf is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
